Evidence from epidemiological studies indicate job stress as: (1) the single greatest cause of work- related disease and injury, and that it adversely impacts learning, performance of work force and productivity of an organization.

Besides the workplace, challenges thrown up by difficult interpersonal situations/ relationships, financial or personal losses also contribute to an individual's stress.

Chronic stress can lead to a multitude of medical and psychological concerns:

  • Stress is a fact of life but it needn't be a way of life. Unfortunately, many of us remain unaware of the extent it impacts our daily life. The good news is that once identified, stress is amenable to lifestyle changes and simple therapeutic measures.
